Property Description
This unique sixteen-room French Tudor was built in 1937. It?s proprietors, Debra and Tom Fitzgerald purchased the home from the original owners in 1998.
Fitzgerald's Irish Bed & Breakfast, a magnificent and recently restored home, is a landmark of craftsmanship from its ornate staircase, hard-wood floors throughout, unusual turret, to its elaborate 11 foot fireplace. You will be charmed by its unique castle-like architecture. Fitzgerald's was recently voted one of the top 15 B&B's in North America 'most affordable luxury.'
Fitzgerald's offers four guest rooms, each with private bath. Come and admire the stirring architecture of the common areas indoors or lounge on the sun porch while enjoying the park-like yard to watch the migrating birds.

Directions to Fitzgerald's Irish Bed & Breakfast
Located 30 miles east of Cleveland. From Route 2, exit at Route 283/535, Painesville (Richmond Road). Go south one mile and turn right on Mentor Avenue at the Painesville Square. Fitzgerald?s Irish Bed & Breakfast is the first house on the left.
From the west on I-90: exit Route 44 and go north to Route 2 East. Follow directions above.
From the east on I-90: Exit I-90 at Vrooman Road (exit 205). Turn right on Vrooman Road. Cross over Route 84 and the road becomes Madison Avenue. Madison Avenue then becomes East Main Street that will bring you into the Painesville Square. Turn right on N. Park Place and go half way around the square. Turn right onto Mentor Avenue (between the city hall and the church). Fitzgerald?s Irish Bed & Breakfast is the first house on the left.
Limited parking is available at the back of the B&B. Large vehicles (SUV's and trucks) should park on the street or next door in the church parking lot (there is a gate that goes into B&B backyard) |
